Our APP Hospitalist Surgical Co-Management program is celebrating its one-year milestone of providing expert, seamless perioperative inpatient care during more than 1,200 surgical patient rounds at Ingalls Memorial.
Their partnerships include bariatric surgery, colorectal surgery, general surgery, Orthopaedics, minimally invasive gynecology, thoracic, podiatry, plastic surgery, vascular surgery and urology, with plans for future growth.
Brooke Schweitzer, DMSc, MSPA, PA-C, FACHE, who serves as the Chief Advanced Practice Officer, and Frank Umbriaco, MSN, BS, AGACNP-BC, who serves as Director of Advanced Practice Services, have been instrumental in the launch and vision of the program. Elizabeth Murphy, MD, Associate Professor of Medicine, serves as the Ingalls Section of Hospital Medicine Medical Director.
