Music industry titan Diana Ross to perform at 50th Annual Benefit Gala
UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial celebrates A Century Strong at Ingalls Development Foundation’s 50th Anniversary Benefit Gala
Harvey, IL – Legendary artist Ms. Diana Ross, returns to celebrate the Centennial Anniversary of UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial at the 50th Benefit Show Gala fundraising event on September 9th at the Tinley Park Convention and Visitor Center.
The Ingalls Benefit Show Gala is one of the longest running, most successful community hospital fundraising events throughout the Chicago Metropolitan Area, raising more than $18 Million and featuring a world class list of entertainers that includes Chaka Kahn, Patty LaBelle, Jennifer Hudson, Kenny Rogers and Tony Bennett.
This year American Pop icon Diana Ross returns to the Benefit Show after last appearing in 2013. Ms. Ross achieved international stardom, first as leader of the vocal group the Supremes and later as a solo artist.
“We are amazed by this opportunity to have Ms. Ross return for our 50th Benefit Show Gala to help us celebrate the centennial anniversary of our community hospital,” says Ingalls Development Foundation Vice President of Philanthropy Paul Donohue, CFRE. This year marks the 50th year for the show, which draws Ingalls supporters from throughout the Chicago metropolitan area and northwest Indiana. All monies raised benefit Ingalls hospital in support of its mission to improve the health of the communities it serves. Proceeds raised in support of the event are used to fund clinical programs and services, foundation scholarships and capital projects including “Safety Town” for rehab patients at UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial.
“The success of the benefit show over the years has relied on tremendous support from our Ingalls stakeholders, including business partners, physicians, employees, patients and community donors,” explained foundation board chairman, Sam Cutrara.
