“The psychiatry and behavioral neuroscience department at UChicago Medicine provides an extensive range of outpatient and inpatient mental health services, including targeted therapy groups for complex issues like chronic illness and grief. Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, Ill. serves as the health system’s main site for inpatient psychiatric care and recently expanded with a $840,000 investment to meet rising community demand. UChicago Medicine also prioritizes psychiatric education through residency and accredited fellowship programs, ensuring the next generation of psychiatric professionals are well-trained. Notable partnerships include its collaboration with National Alliance on Mental Illness and public schools. In addition, their “Courage to Quit“ program has supported over 1,000 participants in smoking cessation since 2016. UChicago Medicine’s pediatric and adolescent behavioral health services are nationally ranked by U.S. News & World Report.“
