Brenda Battle has been honored as one of 40 Top Health System Diversity and Inclusion Officers To Know by Becker’s Hospital Review, a leading hospital magazine for hospital business news and analysis for hospital and healthcare system executives.

Brenda Battle is Senior Vice President for Community Transformation and Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer at the University of Chicago Medicine. Ms. Battle has been at the University of Chicago Medicine serving in multiple roles during her 10 year tenure. She is responsible for working to eliminate health disparities and provide greater access to care for persons living on the South Side of Chicago. Ms. Battle also crafts strategies and programs to support diversity, equity and inclusion in care delivery models.
