Clinical Trials Awareness Month Webinar Series Expands Access to Cancer Education in the Southland

UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital is bringing cutting-edge cancer education directly to the community through its Clinical Trials Awareness Month Webinar Series. Designed to inform and empower patients, caregivers, and families, the series highlights the importance of clinical trials while showcasing the hospital’s commitment to accessible, community-based oncology research.

Throughout the series, leading experts will explore a range of topics that impact cancer prevention, treatment, and survivorship. Sessions include Psychology & Cancer, which examines the emotional and mental health aspects of diagnosis and care; The Gut Microbiome and Cancer, offering insight into how gut health may influence cancer outcomes; and a Geriatric Oncology Panel focused on the unique needs of older adults facing cancer.

Additional webinars dive into emerging science and environmental factors, including Circulating Tumor DNA, an innovative tool for detecting and monitoring cancer, and Environmental Exposures and Cancer, which looks at how everyday surroundings may affect cancer risk.
By increasing awareness and understanding of clinical trials, this series aims to break down barriers to participation and ensure more patients in the Southland community have access to the latest advancements in cancer care.

Join us to learn from leading experts, explore the latest advancements in cancer care, and discover how clinical trials can open doors to new treatment possibilities for you or your loved ones.
