The Ingalls Development Foundation celebrated the soft opening of its Community Garden, created to help fight food insecurity in the Southland.

So far, the garden has provided fresh produce and healthy recipes to more than 30 oncology patients, with even bigger goals ahead. Next year, the garden will move to the Wood Street courtyard with plans to grow up to 300 pounds of produce.

Fun fact: One of the team members helping with the harvest was born at Ingalls 46 years ago—a true full-circle moment!
