Employee Scholarships

Employees are offered the opportunity to pursue and continue their education through the Ingalls Development Foundation EDGE Scholarship Program. Funded through the Annual Benefit Gala and donor and employee donations, over the past two years nearly $200,000 has been awarded.

More than 400 of UCM Ingalls employees actively contribute to the Foundation through online giving or payroll deduction to fund employee scholarships and hospital programs and services. In FY24, we surpassed 400 UCM Ingalls employees contributing to the EDGE Employee Giving Program. Your generosity in conjunction with EDGE program helped fund $58,000 with 89 individual scholarships awarded. Thank you to our generous Corporate Sponsors who also help fund our scholarships program.

Alisia Chambers EDGE Scholarship Recipient

“I am grateful for this reward. Just when I was getting discouraged about school, God opened up a new door. It’s definitely been hard trying to manage school, work and two kids, so I am very thankful and appreciative. Thank you so much.”

“For me, EDGE isn’t just about giving. It’s about contributing to OUR family as well as our surrounding community. It’s about being that helping hand when our community calls and being able to step in and provide assistance. That’s why I have continuously been a contributing and supporting member of EDGE over the past 13 years.”
