Join us in celebrating the remarkable career of Dr. Mark Kozloff, who will retire in June after dedicating nearly 50 years to bringing innovative cancer treatments to patients at UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Kozloff has been instrumental in making cutting-edge clinical trials accessible to underserved communities on Chicago’s South Side and south suburbs, with a particular focus on improving care for Black patients.
His leadership transformed Ingalls Memorial into a model for clinical research, while his commitment to education has shaped countless oncologists’ careers. As noted by Toya Williams, RN, who worked alongside him for over 22 years: “Dr. Kozloff brought clinical trials to our patients, providing them with access to the latest treatment options that were previously unavailable.”
As he transitions to enjoying time with his grandchildren and embracing what he calls “il dolce far niente” — the sweetness of doing nothing — Dr. Kozloff’s vision for expanded research and community collaboration will continue through the next generation of healthcare professionals. Thank you, Dr. Kozloff, for your unwavering commitment to our communities!
